She has been trained in a variety of treatment approaches and numerous physical therapy technologies.   She specializes in both orthopedic and neurological rehabilitation, and has special interests in treating the knee, lower back, and stroke/brain injured patients.  She believes that educating each patient about his/her diagnosis, the role of physical therapy, posture/body mechanics, and home exercise programs is the key to success of physical therapy treatment.  She also believes that patients should be actively involved in their care from setting goals to participating in treatment.

Amanda became interested in physical therapy as a career in high school.  She was a competitive gymnast and severely injured her knee.   After surgery, she went through 5 months of physical therapy to get back to her normal activities.  “My injury was a blessing in disguise.  Although it ended my gymnastics career, it started my career in physical therapy.  My PT inspired me and helped me get my life back, and I want to do the same for my patients.  I understand what my patients are going through because I have been through it.”

Outside the clinic, Amanda enjoys spending time with her husband, decorating their new and first house, and playing with their 2 cats.  She continues to enjoy exercising including walking, biking, aquatic exercise and strength training.
